I had a hard time putting the icons with the appropriate background since I needed to show my home country where I spent my life and also I wanted to show the USA. Lower background of the map represents my motherland, India, and the upper half gives a glimpse of the US. Overall my life has been smooth and therefore the pathways are simple. Unprepared landscape and dir roads symbolize the scenery of India represented here by adding Noise Texture.
